
CREAMY SAUSAGE & SQUASH PASTA



INGREDIENTS
- 1 12 ounce package organic penne pasta
- 1 pound hot Italian turkey sausage (4 links) casing removed
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 12 ounce package frozen organic diced butternut squash
- 3 tablespoons chopped organic fresh sage
- 1 cup organic half & half
- 1/2 cup Culinary Circle Grated Parmesan Cheese
DIRECTIONS
Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium-high heat, combine sausage, onions and garlic; salt and pepper to taste. Cook and crumbled until sausage is no longer pink; drain off grease.
Add squash and sage to skillet; sauté 2 minutes. Add in half & half; bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and simmer 3-5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Stir in pasta and cheese; toss to coat. Continue cooking until heated through and sauce has thickened enough to coat pasta well (about 2-3 minutes).
