
GLAZED CHICKEN LEGS



INGREDIENTS
- 4 pounds chicken legs
- 1/3 cup pure vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
DIRECTIONS
Place chicken legs, oil, garlic, ginger, pepper and salt in a 1-gallon recloseable food storage bag; seal bag. Toss to coat. Place in refrigerator and marinate 4-24 hours, tossing occasionally.
Prepare grill to medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Place chicken legs on grill. Grill, turning often, until internal temperature reaches 180°F on a food thermometer (about 20-25 minutes).
Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine sugar, ketchup and soy sauce. Baste chicken generously with sauce during last 5 minutes of cooking. Turn often to prevent burning.
