
PIE CRUST



INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 1/4 cup all vegetable shortening
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 cup ice water
DIRECTIONS
In large mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, shortening and sugar with a fork or pastry blender until very crumbly. Stir in vinegar. Add water by tablespoons until pie crust holds together.
On a lightly floured and sugared surface, roll out pie crust about an inch larger than pie plate. Place in pie plate, trim sides and flute edges.
For a 1-crust baked pie shell, prick bottom with a fork, bake in a preheated 375°F oven 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Fill as desired.
