
FESTIVE HOT APPLE CIDER



INGREDIENTS
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 1 large navel orange
- 15-20 whole cloves
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole nutmeg
- - tea ball or cheesecloth
- - sliced apples and cinnamon sticks for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Pour apple cider into a large slow cooker. Turn on HIGH.
Randomly score skin of orange with a knife to help release oils in skin. Do not cut all the way through the skin. Pierce orange with cloves.
Place orange and cinnamon sticks in apple cider. Cut nutmeg into quarters and place in tea ball (or use cheesecloth tied closed with kitchen string). Place tea ball in apple cider.
Heat on HIGH 1-2 hours or until hot.
Place a slice of apple and cinnamon stick in a mug. Ladle hot cider into mug.
