
NO FUSS LASAGNA CASSEROLE
in a Slow Cooker



INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound bulk spicy Italian sausage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 29 ounce can tomato purée
- 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes with oregano, garlic & basil undrained
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 15 lasagna noodles broken into 2-inch pieces
- 1 16 ounce container cottage cheese
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
DIRECTIONS
In large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble sausage and onions until no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato puree, undrained tomatoes, Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
Place 1 cup meat sauce in bottom of a 5-quart or larger slow cooker. Layer with broken noodles, meat sauce, cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
Cook on HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6 hours or until noodles are tender.
