
CREAMY RICE PILAF



INGREDIENTS
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 1/2 cups 2% milk
- 1 cup medium grain white rice
- 1 15 ounce can peas & diced carrots drained
DIRECTIONS
In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add spaghetti and garlic; sauté until spaghetti is browned (about 1-2 minutes). Add rice; sauté 1 minute.
Stir in milk and 1½ cups water; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
Add vegetables; salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking until heated through.
