GREEN BEANS

with Mushrooms & Bacon

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 pound bacon chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 4 ounces sliced button mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1 16 ounce package frozen Italian green beans thawed
  • 1/4 cup fancy shredded Italian style Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towels. Drain off all but about 1 tablespoon bacon drippings.

Add onions, mushrooms and garlic to skillet; sauté over medium-high heat until onions and mushrooms are softened. Salt and pepper to taste.

Add in green beans and sauté until beans are cooked through (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
