
CREAMY MACARONI & CHEESE



INGREDIENTS
- 1 13.25 ounce package whole wheat elbow macaroni
- 1/2 cup butter divided
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups 2% milk warmed
- 12 ounces Super Cheezy processed cheese spread cubed
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1 cup crushed corn flakes cereal
DIRECTIONS
Prepare pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain. Meanwhile, in large saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Stir in flour; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Slowly whisk in warmed milk until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 1 minute. Reduce heat to low. Add cheese, mustard, salt and pepper. Continue stirring until cheese is melted. Add pasta to cheese sauce; stir to coat pasta.
Transfer to a greased 2½-quart baking dish. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Toss with corn flakes. Sprinkle over macaroni and cheese.
Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350°F oven 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
